Ashmore Farmhouse voted one of the top 50 best cheeses in the world at the 2011 World Cheese Awards. Chaucer's Camembert gained 3 stars at the 2014 Great Taste Awards and was voted one of the top 50 food products out of 10,000 entries. Gruff also received 2 stars and Ashmore 1 star, continuing our proud run of awards across all our cheeses.   This new award continues our success with a Silver medal and a Bronze in the 2013 British Cheese Awards for Gruff, one of our goat cheeses. 2014 Christmas Cheese Open Days - Back by popular request and additionally open at the weekend - Come along, enjoy a glass of mulled wine or cider with us, pick-out a gift and see us making the cheeses for free. Welcome to the Cheesemakers of Canterbury website - Home of the award winning Ashmore Farmhouse Cheese and Kelly's Canterbury Goat CheeseCatch us at the Goods Shed, Canterbury and a wide range of fairs and farmers markets throughout the year.

This site will enable you to find out about our handmade cheeses and new for 2013 our home made Cowslip butter follow them through the process from the milk to the presses, to the finished prize winning cheese.

Cheesemakers of Canterbury also offer our range of  cheeses available for local delivery, or they can be posted/courier anywhere in Kent, Sussex and the UK at very reasonable at cost  rates. Just call us.

Our Cheeses are also available to purchase through our own shop in the Goods Shed, Canterbury and selected retailers and are on the menu in some fine local restaurants and pubs

In addition, you can discover both our history as cheesemakers and the history of our named Ashmore cheese, which we make from unpasteurised British Friesian cows milk and British goats milk, which we source from local Canterbury farms.
